Subject: Comprehensive Guidelines for RFL Submissions
To ensure fair play and maintain the spirit of competition in RFL, we've set a definitive list of rules pertaining to submissions. Let's dive in.
Exclusive RFL Submissions: To claim victory in a match, the only acceptable route is through submission. Techniques such as takedowns, while useful, are not decisive in themselves.
Addressing Ties: If a round concludes with a deadlock score of 0-0, a tie decision may be declared, as outlined by the specific rules of the tournament.
Resolving Ties: A tie, once declared, can be broken by employing one of the following three methods, which will be predetermined before the event's commencement:
Guidelines for Submission: After successfully securing a submission and receiving a tap from the opponent, the one who has initiated the submission must fully release it. Thereafter, a change in position is mandatory before launching another submission attempt.
Preventing Redundant Submissions: Applying the same submission continuously without any change in position is prohibited. However, if a position change does occur, the same limb can be targeted for submission in a similar or identical way, provided a submission and position alteration have taken place.
